Being a regulated financial entity, as part of our normal business conduct, we prevent, detect, and investigate financial crime. We firmly endorse a culture on integrity and honesty and have a zero-tolerance approach to financial crime. We are expanding our KYC team with two KYC Analysts to strengthen the team.

At Transfer Galaxy, we leverage the value of technology in everything we do. Many of the systems and models used are developed in-house, together with outside experts. As we work in a fast-paced environment, we prefer not to rely on outdated systems and excessive paperwork.

The role entails:

• Reviewing alarms generated by internal systems, by carrying out enhanced due diligence activities including identifying the source of funds for flagged customers
• Conducting screening checks using third party tools to identify Sanctions and PEPs
• Confirming KYC data requirements, collecting relevant KYC information, undertaking research via internal and external sources, and gathering and analysing KYC documentation in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements
• Perform validation of alarms checks carried out by other members of the team (four-eyes principle)
• Using detective-like mentality to investigate and escalate potentially suspicious activity such as money laundering
• Using publicly available information, as well as communicate directly with customers to obtain gather enhanced due diligence information
• Tightly communicate and coordinate with customers and other team members in supplying supplementary information

The ideal candidate:

• An academic degree in a field such as business administration or law
• Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to grow within the field of AML/KYC/CTF
• A solid understanding of AML/KYC regulations and controls
• A minimum of 2 year of AML/KYC/CTF work (preferable in an environment where natural persons [as opposed to legal entities] have been subjects)
• Values a customer-centric approach and understands the need of customers
• Exceptional analytical thinking abilities, decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Is highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to process large sets of information and with an eye for details can easily detect anomalies
• Have a structured way of working
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. MS-Word, MS-Excel)
• A positive attitude
• Fluency in English and Swedish, other languages such as Arabic, Dari, German, or Somali are advantageous
